Terms & Conditions – Cold Core Solutions
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, sales, services, repairs, installations and other work supplied by Cold Core Solutions ("we", "us" or "our"). By placing an order, accepting a quotation, booking a service call or instructing us to carry out work, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Quotations & Pricing
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to availability and may change where supplier, freight, material or other costs change before an order is confirmed.
Any additional work or materials not included in the original quotation will be charged separately.
Prices are exclusive of VAT unless specifically stated otherwise.
2. Equipment Sales
Equipment is subject to availability and may be withdrawn or substituted if unavailable from the manufacturer or supplier.
Product photographs, dimensions and specifications are provided for guidance. Manufacturers may change specifications without notice.
Special-order, bespoke or non-stock equipment may require a deposit and may not be cancellable once ordered from our supplier.
3. Promotional & Quantity Pricing
Promotional and quantity discounts apply only to the products and quantities advertised and while stocks or supplier availability last.
Where a quantity price is advertised, the customer must purchase the stated quantity in a single order to qualify.
For example, an advertised "Buy 4 – €939 each" price applies only where four qualifying units are purchased together.
4. Payment
Payment terms will be stated on the quotation or invoice. We may require full or partial payment before ordering equipment or commencing work.
Goods remain the property of Cold Core Solutions until payment has been received in full, to the extent permitted by law.
Overdue accounts may result in further work or supply being suspended.
5. Delivery
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless specifically agreed otherwise.
Standard delivery does not automatically include positioning, installation, connection, commissioning, removal of packaging or removal of old equipment unless stated in writing.
The customer must ensure suitable access for the equipment being delivered.
Additional charges may apply where access involves stairs, restricted entrances, specialist lifting equipment or other circumstances not disclosed before delivery.
6. Installation
Installation is only included where specifically stated in the quotation.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that suitable electrical, gas, water, drainage, ventilation and other required services are available and compliant before installation.
Additional works required to make the site suitable may be charged separately.
Gas and electrical work will only be carried out where it falls within the scope of the services we are authorised and competent to provide.
7. Service Calls & Repairs
A service/call-out charge may apply regardless of whether the equipment can be repaired during the first visit.
Diagnosis is based on the condition of the equipment at the time of inspection. Additional faults may become apparent after an initial fault has been repaired.
Replacement parts and additional labour will be charged unless included within an agreed quotation or applicable warranty.
8. Warranty
New equipment is covered by the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty where provided.
Warranty conditions vary between manufacturers and products.
Warranty generally does not cover misuse, accidental damage, incorrect installation by others, lack of maintenance, blocked condensers/filters, incorrect electrical supply, environmental conditions, consumable items or unauthorised repairs.
Labour, travel or call-out charges are not automatically covered by a manufacturer's parts warranty unless expressly included.
9. Cancellations & Returns
Returns must be agreed with Cold Core Solutions before goods are returned.
Stock items accepted for return must normally be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging and suitable for resale.
Special-order, bespoke, installed or commissioned equipment may not be returnable unless faulty or otherwise required by applicable law.
Restocking, collection and transport charges may apply to permitted business-to-business returns.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or restricts any statutory rights that a customer cannot legally waive.
10. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to equipment and disclose any known hazards or relevant site conditions.
Equipment should be operated, cleaned and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Cold Core Solutions will not be responsible for faults or damage caused by misuse, inadequate maintenance, unauthorised modification or work carried out by third parties.
11. Existing Equipment
When repairing existing or older equipment, we cannot guarantee that unrelated components will not subsequently fail.
Repairing one fault does not constitute a warranty covering the complete appliance or system.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cold Core Solutions will not be liable for indirect or consequential business losses arising from equipment breakdown, including loss of stock, food, revenue, production or trading.
Customers are responsible for taking reasonable measures to protect temperature-sensitive stock and business operations in the event of equipment failure.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Force Majeure
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including supplier delays, transport disruption, shortages, industrial action, severe weather or other unforeseen events.
14. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure website information, pricing and specifications are accurate. Errors may occasionally occur.
An online enquiry or order does not oblige Cold Core Solutions to supply goods at an obvious pricing or specification error.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland, and disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
